Because Every Gift Creates Another Miracle

Giving Hope. Celebrating Life. Honoring Generosity.

A transplant is one of medicine's greatest miracles: not because of science alone, but because of the extraordinary generosity that makes it possible.

The Chimera Society celebrates the power of that generosity and honors those whose support throughout the year helps the Florida Organ Transplant Association provide connection, resources, and community to transplant recipients, donor families, living donors, and the healthcare professionals who make transplantation possible. Every gift matters, and together, those gifts transform lives.

Why "The Chimera Society"?

The Society takes its name from chimerism, the remarkable biological phenomenon in which donor and recipient cells coexist after transplantation. This unique connection symbolizes the lasting bond created through organ donation—a gift that forever intertwines lives through healing, and compassion.

Just as transplantation creates a lifelong connection between donor and recipient, The Chimera Society celebrates those whose generosity creates lasting connections throughout Florida's transplant community.

Every Gift Counts

Membership in The Chimera Society is based on total annual giving during the calendar year. Whether your support comes through one generous gift or several contributions throughout the year, every donation is combined to determine your recognition level. This approach celebrates consistent generosity and reflects the many ways our supporters choose to invest in FOTA's mission.

Join The Chimera Society

Your generosity makes more than transplantation possible; it makes community possible.

Every gift helps FOTA provide education, emergency assistance, peer support, and life-changing programs for transplant recipients, living donors, donor families, caregivers, and the healthcare professionals who serve them.

When your cumulative annual giving reaches $500 or more during the calendar year, you become a member of The Chimera Society, joining a community of compassionate individuals whose generosity ensures that no one has to navigate the transplant journey alone.

Together, we celebrate the gift of life, and those who make it possible.
